Our primary function in NECA is to protect employers' interest and enthrone the private
sector as a dependable engine of development. This we do through the following:

Influence economic agenda and policies through public advocacy and group representation to
government on issues of interest to employers.

Create the forum for employers to consult and dialogue amongst themselves on issues of interest to them.

Provide the opportunity for employers to share information and create linkages
that will enhance the growth of their business.

(d)
|
Defend and promote, at all times and in all places, the legitimate rights of member companies.

(e)
|
Provide on hand assistance to Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) etc.

(f)
|
Other consultancy services to meet members specific needs.

Specific Assistance That Could Be Rendered To You: |
|
As a natural extension of your Management team, NECA provides advice
and guidance on the whole gamut of Human Resources Management, Employee and Industrial Relations,
Government and Community Relations issues. Specifically, NECA would:

(a)

Serve as external moderator for Recruitment and Selection exercises to ensure objectivity,
neutrality and transparency.

(b)
|
Provide professional advice and guidance on Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations,
Employee Relations, Community-Government relations as well as Best Practices.

(c)
|
Assist in the Management of Industrial disputes, including representation at the Industrial Arbitration Panel (AIB)
and the National Industrial Court (NIC).

(d)
|
Assist in capacity building through training and development programs
|
|
(e)
|
Assist in the preparation of employment contracts, wages and salary administration, performance appraisal,
collective bargaining, etc

(f)
|
Provide reliable database on collective agreements, economic, taxation and social welfare issues.

|
Give back-up services for negotiations
|

(h)
|
Provide counseling and guidance services on 'Outsourcing' and other
related services

Assist in the preparation of staff handbooks

Assist in the development and implementation of Human Resources, Industrial/Employee Relations,
HIV/AIDS, Occupational Health/Safety & Environmental Policies.

Provide Advice/Guidance on Restructuring, Rightsizing, Downsizing; etc
